took me a bunch of hours yesterday (didnt find it and messed up more than I cleaned), and after sleeping on it and finding something related to it ...found it in a drawer (though cant for the life of me remember WHY I put it in a drawer....) this morning. and then spent the next 4 hours trying to place the photos (japan temples...I would say they have millions of them, but probably would be off by a small amount on that total).
So FOUND IT and now its waaaaaaaaaaaaaay past my nap time.

Yay, glad you found it cosy! Always a relief when you finally find what you are looking for.

Laundry today. Lots of it. It's like it never ends. Never, ever...

Decisions, decisions. Facing a difficult choice. The wife had an uncle pass away a month ago, and she inherited his house and most everything in it.

Now, do we sell our 10 acres, 3 bedrooms, in the country and move into the 2 bedroom in town, next door to her mom? Her daily commute is currently 26 miles and moving will make it 3 miles.

I say decisions, but I see moving, in the cards, in the near future. Don't know how quickly this place will sell.

wow that is a pretty dang big decision ....glad I dont have to make it. (though I would keep the house you live in now...for the future---rent it out).

but I would wait and not make any decision for awhile.

nice sunny day today....will try to get our cars washed (finally).....and hope that it stays nice for a while (see another storm in the future on the weather channel )

I personally like the country. But a 26 mile commute each day is quite a trip to say the least. Definitely a tough one.

Very nice sunny day today. Went to my parents to celebrate my nephews birthday with my sister and her family. Was a lot of fun to see them. Sounds like nephew number 4 is going to be making an appearance on April 30th. So that should be exciting. Definitely a fun day today.

just pumping them out is she? congrats on yet another nephew!

no sun here...the news was sayin sleet and snow, but none made it to the ground (thank someone), windy and still cold---moved the car wash to tomorrow (hubby has the day off) since they say it will be warmer and no rain stuff to speak of (we hope).

hubby got his computer up and running yesterday, so was playing some gw on it---260fps best I did I mine was 160, so until my mobo comes I will be using his computer (dont like his mouse and his monitor is too far away to read stuff on--and cant move any closer to it).

had cheese sandwiches for dinner (low carb whole wheat bread), and a nice salad on the side.

Ya she sure seems to be doing that. Though this is her last one. So they say. They said the last one was the last one. OH well.

Glad he got that computer up. That is pretty awesome fps going on there. Dunno what mine does, I have never checked that.

Supposed to be 60's tomorrow and then 50's and raining on Tuesday. More rain...

Been cleaning a house for the past two days. Her uncle had become more recluse over the past 3 or 4 years and no one really knew what health issues he was having. Not to speak bad of the dead, but his house appears to have not been cleaned for a very long time. Two days in and still just scratching the surface.

This house has been in the wife's family for more than 100 years. I guess once we get the kitchen, livingroom and main bedroom cleaned enough, we are going to move in and tackle the rest from there.

I haven't seen a forecast since Friday night, no clue what kind of weather is ahead.

Ugh, that does not sound like fun. At least he wasn't a major hoarder? That would be a lot worse...

That is pretty cool that it has been in her family for so long. Definitely not something you would want to sell.

Supposed to rain tomorrow. Sounds like more flooding...

I am not a fan of cleaning (ask my hubby), so wouldnt like to clean someone else's stuff for sure! good luck with that!!!

nice and warm and sorta sunny--got the cars cleaned, though rain is in the forecast for this evening (well at least one car will stay clean--one car garage).
Now I need a nap (my arms are tired--the big spongy thing at the car wash it dang heavy, especially when you have to basically use it over your head--our subaru is tall and the car wash bays as slopped into the middle so it makes it almost taller than I am!).

but glad its over for another year (though hubby thinks we should do it twice a year ---he has the easy part of just vacuuming and wiping the interiors down).

think its another cheese sandwich for lunch (got a nice loaf of fresh bread yesterday and some nice sliced cheeses...so need to eat them before fiep gets them).

I wouldn't call Uncle R a hoarder, although he did have his "collections". A complete home entertainment center, including; AM/FM receiver, turntable, cassette deck, 8-track deck, R to R, VCR, DVD, super Surround sound, VERY large flat screen. Stacks of movies on DVD and VCR tapes. A small music collection, mostly country. 5 or 6 portable AM/FM/Cassette decks. Then there is his phone collection, one in every room, plus more in a couple of boxes, stored in the backroom.

The original house had 3 rooms, the livingroom, 1 bedroom, and the kitchen and sat on 30 acres. There was 4 doors to the outside, the main one in livingroom and 3 off the kitchen. It had a root cellar just out the west kitchen door and an outhouse out back. When indoor plumbing was added, they added a bedroom and the bathroom off the north side of the kitchen and the porch that was on the west side was turned into a laundry/utility/mudroom. The cellar has since been collapsed and filled in, and the outhouse is of course, long gone as well.

This house is the oldest one on the block and one of the oldest in a 4 block area. When built, it sat alone at the top of a hill that once had an awesome view. Now, it is just a house, with some history, in a neighborhood on a 125'x225' lot.

sounds like the house I grew up in (not nearly as old and lots less acreage)....when we build the house where I was born (while living there and probably conceived as well ), there was only 1 other house around...across the street, the rest of the area was a huge farm....think we had a whole acre for our house....now it has houses all around it, watched most of them being built as well....ah progress
watched them rebuild the house across the way twice...it started out as a house about the size of a 2 car garage into a 2 story 3 car garage and house big enough for it to not look wrong with that new garage (the 2nd house was a ranch built around the original, when they did the final rebuild they tore the whole thing down and started from the basement up).

well, I know spring is in the air...havent stopped sneezing since I woke up from my nap (and I ran out of my allergy pills...guess I will be taking a trip to the drug store tomorrow).

I was born in a small ranch house and then when I was 3 we moved to a larger house that sits on an acre or 2. 4 bedrooms and what not. Very nice house. Parents still live there. Definitely why I love country living. Much better than being crammed in in the city.

Yup spring is here. Was 68 today, though it is supposed to be 51 tomorrow and raining. I did go to the softball game today to support some of my students. Was nice and sunny, though a tad bit windy.

yeah, the house I grew up in was nice, brother (who mom sold it to a while back) recently sold it and moved to oregon (2 of his kids are going to school there)....so its no longer in the family, I was sad when we moved, but it was 4 bedrooms split level and too much for my mom to take care of alone (dad died, most of my siblings were married and living else where, only me and my sister were left and we were both in college)....so it made sense to sell it--and my brother lived there for 20+ years as well....so another generation of my family got to live there. Unfortunately the next generation is taking their time in getting married etc. (only 2 are now married just last year)....and NONE are planning on having kids so a big ole 4 bedroom 3 bath house just isnt in the cards for any of them.
was nice today...rain on the radar--none on the balcony .....yet!

I could see my older sister eventually moving into my parents house with her family. There is enough room there for all of them, so it would be better than the 2 bedroom ranch they are renting now. But that won't be for quite a while.

Rained a bit last night, supposed to rain more today. More flooding probably.

rain, freezing rain...and more for the rest of today....

I really hate when you go to a website and do some shopping, and they say they have the item in stock...they charge you, and then a few days later ---you get an email saying that they actually dont have the item in stock. I know its not that hard these days to keep your stock/website info up to date really----now back in the days before computers it was hard, why are companies now still incapable of keeping track of their stock??????
2 companies so far have had my motherboard INSTOCK on their websites, only to send me an email (one the same day the other waited 4 days) to say up 'we are stupid and have no idea what we have in our store, dahehehehdahehehhe'....so I CALLED the 3rd company TWICE to make sure...they say yes, we have 3 of them...that was friday, I called again today and made sure...yes we have it and it will be shipped out today (3rd times the charm I hope). REALLY tired of getting stupid responses and stock NOT being updated!

Lots of rain today. So ya, more flooding. Possible snow tonight. >.> It is almost May gosh darn it! I don't want any more of that white stuff!

Ya website shopping can definitely be a hassle. Usually why I try to stick to Amazon and other retailers (Newegg, Tiger Direct). Hate it when they tell me they are all out. >.>

would have gone with new egg or one of those kinds of sites IF they had it (its an older mobo--probably discontinued knowing me), so only a few places still had it--most of which I had never dealt with before. Wont use amazon, they use crazy shippers in my area.
I much rather shop over the phone, that way you find out THEN if they have it, not days later. (and then you can ask more questions too).

Ya hard to find older stuff anymore. They seem to discontinue stuff sooner and sooner each time...
